Beyond the Bars Conference, "Seeding Justice", March 24-26 Movements for justice have increasingly looked for ways to cultivate healing, accountability, and transformation, for both people and communities, and to hold harmful carceral systems to account. Beyond the Bars is an annual interdisciplinary conference on mass incarceration organized by the Center for Justice at Columbia University. Beyond the Bars 2023 is bringing together people, organizations, and movements working on Indigenous peacemaking, transformative healing, and reparative justice to share strategies and build solidarity.
