Men Kèk Dwa Ou Dwe Konnen Ou Genyen

1.     Fòk yo bay moun ki pèdi kay yo mwayen pou yo jwenn manje, dlo, kote pou yo rete, rad, sèvis medikal ak ijèn piblik san danje.

2.     Yo pa gen dwa detounen èd imanitè yo voye pou moun ki pèdi kay yo pou rezon politik oubyen pou rezon militè.

3.     Timoun, fi ansent, medam ki alatèt fanmi yo, granmoun aje, ak moun ki endikape gen dwa pou yo ba yo pwoteksyon espesyal, èd espesyal ak bon jan tretman.

4.     Moun ki pèdi kay yo gen dwa pou yo al rete yon lòt kote nan peyi a epi pou yo tounen lakay yo kou yo kapab.

5.     Moun ki pèdi kay yo, fi sitou, dwe bay dizon yo nan planifikasyon k ap fèt ak nan kontwòl tout sa k ap fèt pou ba yo kote pou yo rete nèt.

IF YOU LOST YOUR HOME IN THE EARTHQUAKE
You Have These Rights

1. Displaced people must be provided with safe access to food, water, shelter, clothing, medical services and sanitation.

2. Humanitarian assistance to displaced persons cannot be diverted for political or military reasons.

3. Children, pregnant women, women who are heads of families, the elderly and the disabled are entitled to special protection, assistance and treatment.

4. Displaced people have the right to leave for other parts of the country and to return to their homes as soon as possible.

5. Displaced people, especially women, shall be involved in the planning for and management of all parts of their resettlement.

6. Women must be given full participation in the planning and distribution of basic supplies. Special attention must be paid to women’s health.

7. It is illegal to discriminate against displaced people or to deny people their rights because of political or religious differences.

8. Displaced people have the right to know the fate and whereabouts of missing relatives

9. These rights must guide the government of Haiti, the United Nations, all other governments and all NGOs
