The Center for Constitutional Rights Welcomes Four New Board Members

Nov 13, 2025 – The Center for Constitutional Rights welcomes four new members to our board of trustees, who bring with them outstanding records of accomplishment in philanthropy, activism, and legal advocacy.

"We are grateful that such accomplished and insightful people have joined our board, said Executive Director Vince Warren. “They will further strengthen the Center for Constitutional Rights' visionary leadership, mission, and work, especially during these extreme and uncertain times."

Our new board members:

Jennifer Hobbs is a lawyer and activist who has been a social justice advocate and activist for over twenty years. In particular, she is a long-term Palestinian solidarity activist, having been one of the key organizers of the U.S. Boat to Gaza, which attempted to break the siege in 2012. As long-time supporters of the Center for Constitutional Rights, Jen and her partner were awarded our Changemaker award in 2009 recognizing their activism and support.

Len Kamdang is the Director of the Criminal Justice Project at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, where he leads national efforts to combat systemic injustices in the criminal legal system through litigation, public education, and advocacy. Len is an accomplished trial attorney, a formidable civil litigator, and a skilled criminal defense lawyer. He spent over a decade as an assistant federal defender in the Eastern District of New York, where he tried cases involving narcotics trafficking, organized crime, and national security matters.

Amoretta Morris is the president of Borealis Philanthropy. For the last 30 years, Amoretta has worked to build power, equity, and justice by supporting community-led change. She brings a range of critical perspectives — as an organizer, grantee, board member, staff member, and donor. She sees her role in philanthropy as mobilizing resources to make liberation for all possible.

Deborah Sagner, LCSW, is the president of the Sagner Family Foundation. Ms. Sagner practiced as a family and play therapist working primarily with children and families. She is the author of The Family Play Genogram (1999), a guidebook for the play therapy technique she pioneered and popularized. Ms Sagner is the founder of Funding Freedom, which builds support for Palestinian freedom in the philanthropic sector through education, advocacy, and communications.
