Combatting the government’s continuing imprisonment of political activists has always been important to the National Conference of Black Lawyers’ work as the legal arm of the Black Liberation Movement. From the high-profile cases of individual political activists to the imposition of cruel conditions upon large groups of prisoners for their politics, this discussion will cover successful strategies used to liberate political prisoners and the tragic consequences if we don’t succeed.
