20 Years After September 11: Lessons in Solidarity

Date

Add to My Calendar Tuesday, September 14, 2021 3:00pm to 5:00pm

Location

Please join Vince Warren, Executive Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights, as he participates in this teach-in to mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and its aftermath. Members of the Solidarity Summits will share insights around deepening connections, being co-conspirators, and building towards co-liberation.

Current events make it so much clearer how important it is to look back and learn about the effects of 9/11 policy. To that end, this Solidarity Teach-in hosted by the Building Movement Project and SolidarityIs will explore how various movements and communities have been deepening connections over the past two decades to build power.

The teach-in is anchored by members of the Solidarity Summits, a group that the Building Movement Project and SolidarityIs have been helping to convene since 2015 to build relationships across movements in the US, including the AMEMSA space. Please join them on Tuesday, September 14th at 3:00 p.m. EST to hear from Margari, Linda, Maya, Lakshmi, Ramla, Satjeet, and Ahmad along with movement allies.
