CCR News: Thank you for funding the fight in 2018!

Thank you for funding the fight in 2018!

We know that at the end of each year, your inbox is filled with calls from great organizations doing important work asking for your contribution to keep it going, and that CCR is just one among many. That's why we're so grateful that you have recognized CCR's unique role—fighting the fights others won't, being the first there and the last to leave—and kept us fighting in 2018. The Trump administration is consolidating power around oppressive social and economic structures. Our work continues to push back to transform these systems, fighting institutionalized power that subjugates vulnerable communities and building the power of social movements that strive for justice and equality. Because of the generous contributions of our supporters, we are able to keep up this fight in the new year. Thank you for your continued support!

Join Fordham students in court Wednesday and support the fight for Palestinian rights

For more than a year, Fordham University has refused to recognize Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) as an official student club. In denying their club application, Fordham's Dean of Students explained that he believed an SJP group would create "polarization" on campus and "run contrary to the mission and values" embraced at Fordham. Now, two of the students involved in the litigation has since graduated from Fordham, and others will soon graduate as well. That's why CCR, Palestine Legal, and cooperating counsel Alan Levine will be in court Wednesday urging a judge to direct Fordham to recognize SJP immediately. You can support the Fordham students by joining in court at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at the Manhattan Civil Courthouse (111 Center Street, Rm 1127B, New York, NY). Not in New York or can't make it? Use the hashtag #DefendFordhamSJP to follow the proceedings and share your support. CCR will also be streaming live on our Facebook page right after the hearing.
