This will be a strategic workshop on raising the stakes and the intensity for the immigration debate through direct action. By using lessons learned from the "Bring Jean Home" campaign in NYC, and from other New Sanctuary Movement Coalition strategies, we'll discuss how rallies, protest, and even civil disobedience -- in conjunction with multi-faceted media campaigns -- have worked to broaden our coalions power and our influence on elected officials as we push back against increasing ICE enforcement and detentions through specific local actions.
