Case Description

In recent years and into the current Trump administration, both the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection agencies have contracted with technology companies Cellebrite and Paragon on surveillance software known to have been used by other governments to spy on human rights defenders, journalists, and others. Just Futures Law and the Center for Constitutional Rights filed FOIA requests seeking information about these companies' contracts with immigration enforcement as well as associated training materials and documentation.
