Center for Constitutional Rights Commends National Lawyers Guild for Stopping Harassing Anti-BDS Lawsuit

May 19, 2020, New York – The Center for Constitutional Rights issued the following statement in response to the National Lawyers Guild’s announcement that it has settled a harassing lawsuit brought against it to silence advocacy for Palestinian rights.

The Center for Constitutional Rights commends our long-time partner, the National Lawyers Guild, on getting rid of this harassing lawsuit and staying focused on its critical human rights work. The case was one of many that have been brought to silence advocates of Palestinian freedom and boycott, divestment and sanctions until Israel complies with international law. Rather than respect Palestinian rights, Israel and its supporters attack any means to hold it accountable. They will not win.

The Center for Constitutional Rights works with communities under threat to fight for justice and liberation through litigation, advocacy, and strategic communications. Since 1966, the Center for Constitutional Rights has taken on oppressive systems of power, including structural racism, gender oppression, economic inequity, and governmental overreach.
