Take Action

Social justice is a “we” thing, not an “I” thing. Whether it’s a demonstration, a letter to Congress, a social media campaign or a letter to the editor, it’s the active involvement of thousands of Center for Constitutional Rights supporters that moves our work forward.
Right now, the Trump administration is attempting to roll back the Equal Access Rule, which protects universal access to federally funded housing programs and homeless shelters. If the proposed rule change goes through, it will eliminate vital housing discrimination protections for LGBTQIA+ people—especially trans, nonbinary, intersex, and gender nonconforming people—and they will be at risk of being turned away from facilities based on inaccurate so-called “biological” definitions of gender, developed in Trump's anti-LGBTQIA+ ideologically-driven executive orders rather than through scientific inquiry. Take action now to defend the Equal Access Rule by submitting a public comment.
Contact your representative now and urge them to back this important step in increasing support in Congress for justice and accountability for Shireen's family.
