Please join us for a tribunal that will shed light on the lived experiences of social exclusion and discrimination featuring testimony from individual representatives of the Roma, LGBT, disabled, Muslim-American, domestic worker and other socially excluded communities, with a particular focus on women.  The event will contribute to global efforts around the 10 Days of Action on Social Exclusion, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence and Human Rights Day.

A panel of expert advocates, including Radhika Balakrishnan, Center for Women’s Global Leadership, and Michael Ratner, Center for Constitutional Rights, will respond to the testimonies with specific policy recommendations on how to address exclusion at the domestic and global levels. Professor Vasuki Nesiah, NYU-Gallatin, will moderate the discussion for the evening.

Artists supporting human rights will perform over the course of the event and a reception will follow.

Sponsored by: The Feminist Task Force & the Task Force on Social Exclusion of the Global Call to Action against Poverty; the Office of the Chaplain of the Church Center for the United Nations; and the Human Rights Project of the Urban Justice Center.
