Through photographs, a multimedia display, and a virtual reality film, the stories of victims of private military and security companies will be the focal point of an exhibit organized by the UN Working Group on the use of mercenaries. Two CCR clients, Salah Hassan Nsaif and Ali Shallal Abbas, will join the Working Group Chair in providing remarks at the launch of the exhibit. They will share their first-hand accounts of their detention at Abu Ghraib prison and the role of US military contractors in the torture and abuse that occurred there, and their efforts to achieve accountability for what was done to them. Salah is a plaintiff in CCR’s case Al Shimari v. CACI, which is currently pending before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Ali was a plaintiff in Saleh v. Titan.

The exhibit is open to delegates, NGOs, and the public.
