Join the Center for Constitutional Rights and our co-counsel Van Der Hout LLP for oral arguments before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in our lawsuit, Defense for Children International - Palestine (DCIP) v. Biden.

The case was filed in November on behalf of Palestinian human rights organizations, Palestinians in Gaza, and Palestinian-Americans in the U.S. against President Biden, Secretary of State Blinken, and Secretary of Defense Austin. The case challenges the U.S. government's failure to prevent and complicity in Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza and asks the court to order the Biden administration to cease diplomatic and military support and comply with its legal obligations under international and federal law. After a January hearing, the district court court found a plausible case of genocide and urged the Biden administration to reexamine its “unflagging support” for Israel’s siege of Gaza, but dismissed the lawsuit on jurisdictional grounds. Plaintiffs filed an appeal, and oral arguments will take place before a three-judge panel from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on June 10, in San Francisco.

The argument is scheduled to begin in person at 9:00 a.m. in Courtroom 1 of the James Browning Courthouse, and will also be streamed live on the court’s website
