Please join Maria LaHood, Deputy Legal Director at the Center for Constitutional Rights and hosts, American Muslims for Palestine, as they brief congress on the Israeli Treatment of U.S. Citizens.
For more than 40 years, human rights and Arab-American organizations have been documenting discriminatory treatment by Israeli authorities towards US citizens. US citizens entering Israel or the Occupied Palestinian Territory have reported being physically abused, detained for hours of humiliating questioning, strip searched, denied entry, and forced to buy plane tickets back to the US. Worst of all, Israeli forces have killed or gravely injured US citizens. A policy paper on the topic will be distributed at the briefing.
Other featured speakers will include:
Emily Siegel, Eyewitness Palestine
Brian Avery, US peace activist
Moderated by Jamal Najjab, Director of Government Relations, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP)
