On February 26th, 2021, join UCLA Law’s Promise Institute for Human Rights, the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs, and the Corporate Accountability Lab as they host a day-long symposium to address issues of corporate accountability.

At 4:30 p.m., Center for Constitutional Rights Advocacy Progam Manager Dominic Renfrey will join the panel, The Corporation as Global Superpower: Corporate Capture, Corporate Influence, and International Human Rights Law to discuss how multinational corporations have continued to assert increasing influence on states and their decision making; how the influence of corporations on state power affects the creation and enforcement of human rights law; and how countries hold corporations accountable when the corporations are larger than the countries by an order of magnitude.
