CCR President Michael Ratner will discuss the critical issues of accountability and prosecutions for torture and war crimes at two events, focusing on the new CCR book, The Trial of Donald Rumsfeld: A Prosecution By Book.

Join the Georgetown University Law Center’s Supreme Court Institute and the Center for Constitutional Rights for a debate that brings to the forefront the issues of investigation and prosecution for war crimes and torture. As the Bush administration comes to a close, the question of accountability comes to the forefront. Join us for an incisive debate that raises the challenging questions posed by the new book, The Trial of Donald Rumsfeld: A Prosecution by Book.

MICHAEL RATNER is the President of the Center for Constitutional Rights. He is the lead author of the new book, The Trial of Donald Rumsfeld: A Prosecution by Book.

STUART TAYLOR is a Nonresident Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institute as well as a regular columnist for National Journal and a Contributing Editor at Newsweek.

DAVID VLADECK is a Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, where he co-directs the Institute for Public Representation, a clinic law program, and serves as director of the Center on Health Regulation and Governance of the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law.

Michael Ratner will introduce, discuss and sign his new book, The Trial of Donald Rumsfeld: A Prosecution by Book. This book compiles evidence that the Bush Administration is guilty of war crimes - evidence presented in the form of a court case. The Trial of Donald Rumsfeld offers proof that high-level officials, including Rumsfeld, ordered, authorized, implemented and permitted war crimes such as torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment in the name of fighting the "war on terror."
