Obama's Guantanamo: Stories from an Enduring PrisonJoin us for a discussion with Obama’s Guantánamo contributors, who offer rich firsthand accounts of representing Guantánamo detainees and traveling to the island prison. Together, their stories provide a picture of Guantánamo during the Obama administration—the despair, hope, and perseverance of the prisoners and their lawyers in ongoing efforts to challenge indefinite detention and military commissions within a Kafkaesque legal system, and advocate in the court of public opinion.

Speakers
Jonathan Hafetz, Professor of Law at Seton Hall University of Law
Joseph McMillan, Partner, Perkins Coie
Shayana Kadidal, Senior Managing Attorney, Center for Constitutional Rights

Doors open at 6:00 pm, and the program will begin at 6:30 pm. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served after the discussion.

All guests should check in on the 49th floor. The Perkins Coie parking garage is on Seneca Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
