The Krieger Lecture in American Political Culture Presents: Gitanjali Gutierrez. She will give a lecture entitled "American-Style Torture: Guantanamo, Black Sites and American Values".

Gitanjali Gutierrez is an attorney at the center for Center for Constitutional Rights in New York City, where she advises the hundreds of pro bono lawyers involved in the Guantanamo Global Justice Initiative. She was a member of the original legal team for Rasul v. Bush, the landmark Guantanamo case in the United States Supreme Court. She graduated magna cum laude from Cornell Law School, where she has also taught International Human Rights Law and Terrorism.
