Coalition Letter: In face of unequal access to covid-19 vaccines, intellectual property rules must be suspended

On April 7, 2021, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and a number of its member organizations—including the Center for Constitutional Rights—released a coalition letter urging World Trade Organization member states and other international organizations to ensure equitable and universal access to the covid-19 vaccine by suspending intellectual property rules related to pharmaceuticals that may diminish covid-19 symptoms or transmission. Vaccines must be a common good in the service of humanity.
