On June 12, 2012, the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) submitted written testimony before the Public Safety Committee of the California State Senate on June 12, 2012 for a hearing Hearing on A.B. No. 1270 (Ammiano) on media access to prisons.

CCR submitted testimony to underline the need for transparency measures such as the proposed bill which would restore media access to California prisons.
