Stop Torture: Rally at the Department of Justice on June 26th

Date

Add to My Calendar Friday, June 26, 2015 4:00pm

Location

950 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, DC 20530

Join CCR and allies from Amnesty International USA, Witness Against Torture, CODEPINK: Women For Peace, National Religious Campaign Against Torture, Bill of Rights Defense Committee, National Coalition To Protect Civil Freedoms (NCPCF), No Separate Justice campaign, and more to rally outside the Justice Department in commemoration of the International Day in Support of Survivors of Torture.

The declassified summary of the Senate Torture report—and mounting evidence revealed since its release—prove that the CIA engaged in a sophisticated program of calculated, aggressive, and egregious state-sanctioned torture and lied about how the program operated and the utility of the information obtained. We are rallying outside the Justice Department because of its repeated failure to investigate and prosecute U.S. officials responsible for authorizing, implementing, and covering-up torture.

Join us in standing in solidarity with survivors like our client Majid Khan who deserve justice for what has been done to them. We will meet on the Constitution Ave. side of the DOJ building. Click here to join the Facebook event page.
