Please join us for an evening of readings by numerous Ventura poets, featuring the Poems from Guantanamo, written by Guantanamo detainees and collected by attorney Marc Falkoff. Vincent Warren, the Executive Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights, which coordinates the representation of the men at Guantanamo, will speak about what is happening now for the men held in Guantanamo, and about the Center’s 100 Days campaign, which aims to push back the crimes of past administrations and restore the Constitution – rolling back executive power, ending torture, detention and extraordinary rendition, and protecting the right to dissent.
