U.S.-sponsored Torture, Prisoners’ Rights, and Survivor Care

Four distinguished panelists across professions will address the current situation of prisoners held in U.S. custody at Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib, and prisons in several other countries (out of reach of U.S. law), many of whom remain without charge of any crime.

Topics include expanded executive power, “safe and enhanced” torture techniques, Habeas Corpus, professional ethics, and how our constitutional rights in this matter may be compromised by the outcome of the presidential election and next year's Supreme Court appointments.
