The Bertha Justice Institute at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) will be hosting a screening of Stanley Nelson’s dynamic new film The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution at the Film Forum, in conjunction with the film’s fall launch. After the screening CCR’s Executive Director, Vince Warren, will be joined by Stanley Nelson himself for a Q&A about the film. We hope you’ll join us. You can purchase tickets for the September 10 7:15PM showing here ($7.50 for Film Forum members, $13 for regular admission).

The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution is the first feature-length documentary to explore the Black Panther Party, its significance to the broader American culture, its cultural and political awakening for Black people, and the painful lessons wrought when a movement derails. The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution is an essential history and a vibrant chronicle of this pivotal movement that birthed a new revolutionary culture in America.
