Date

Add to My Calendar Wednesday, November 20, 2013 12:00am

Location

Join CCR Attorney Sunita Patel in Washington D.C. as she speaks about CCR's Floyd case and its impact on New York City Police Department policies and their practice of stop and frisk. Sunita's keynote address will be followed by a panel to discuss racial profiling.

On October 31, 2013, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit granted the City's request for a stay on the stop-and-frisk remedies mandated by the Federal district court in Floyd v. City of New YorkThis does not mean that Floyd has been overturned - only that the remedies ordered in Floyd have been postponed until the 2nd Circuit hears the City's appeal in earlier 2014.
