Defending the Defenders Webinar on Human Rights Defenders

Date

Add to My Calendar Wednesday, May 28, 2014 12:00am

Location

Human rights defenders are people like you – people who defend the rights of others. Join us to learn what human rights defenders do, who they are, and what special protections they have under international human rights law. Speakers will introduce what international mechanisms you, as a human rights defender, can use to protect yourself and your work. Fellow human rights defenders will also present on how they have successfully used these international mechanisms and other forms of international advocacy to highlight the threats they face in their work and seek state protection.

This is your opportunity to become involved in a USHRN member-initiated and driven action taskforce to protect yourself and your work!
