Please join us in College Station, TX, where CCR attorney J. Wells Dixon will speak on April 16, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. Wells will speak about his experience representing prisoners at Guantánamo Bay, and provide important updates on the status of the men still held at Guantánamo after nearly seven years. In the face of the executive orders by President Barack Obama to close Guantanamo, J. Wells Dixon will lay out what is necessary to close the prison camp swiftly and effectively.

He will also discuss the Center's 100 Days Campaign, which calls for a broad restoration of the Constitution and pushing back against abuses of power like those at Guantanamo and other secret and arbitrary detention sites.
