Today (January 18), the United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Ziglar v. Abbasi, a major religious and ethnic profiling case. The central legal question in Ziglar is whether high-ranking officials in the Bush administration can be held responsible for profiling, rounding up and detaining Muslim, Arab and South Asian men in the wake of the September 11 attacks.
