Challenging the Rise of Islamophobia: An Honest Conversation

Registration is closed for this event

The Center for Constitutional Rights, MPowerChange.org, and the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) invite you to a conversation about countering Islamophobia in the U.S. with Linda Sarsour, Executive Director of the Arab American Association of New York and co-founder of MPowerChange.org, and Dawud Walid, Executive Director of CAIR-MI. CCR's Executive Director, Vince Warren, will moderate the discussion, which will address the following questions:

Why are we seeing a surge in Islamophobia in the U.S., how is it manifesting legally, and what has been the impact on Muslim communities? How can Muslims develop coalitions with other communities in recognition of our shared struggles against injustice? How are Muslim communities challenging Islamophobia, and what are some immediate actions we can take to counter this hate?
