Biography

Kevi Brannelly has been with the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) since 2004. Prior to joining CCR, she was alumni director for Golden Gate University School of Law, where she was responsible for annual fund gifts, assisting with major donor and capital campaign programs, and the creation of the Continuing Legal Education program for alumni.

She is the former co-director of the National Office of the National Lawyers Guild (1996-2000) where she was primarily responsible for membership and administration. She served on the board of the NLG Street Law Project, conducted many facilitator trainings, and taught workshops on police misconduct, Fourth Amendment, housing, and employment. She was also chapter president of the Bay Area Chapter of the NLG, where she co-founded the Mentorship and Post-9/11 committees and served on the Mass Defense, CLE, Progressive Law Student Day, and Fundraising committees.

Kevi has volunteered on many local and state-wide initiative campaigns, on issues ranging from strengthening civilian complaint boards on police misconduct investigations to housing rights for low-income renters in Oakland, California.

Kevi is a graduate of the University of Oregon Law School and admitted to practice in New York State. Before attending law school, she was the associate director for Alumni Relations for five years at UC Berkeley-Boalt Hall School of Law, where she directed the alumni annual fund campaign, coordinated publications, and planned all alumni events and programs.
